Every year the Santa Rosa 4x4's club does a New Years run to the Lake Pillsbury area.  This year the trip was done a few days before new years day.

The weather was perfect, clear skys with not a spot of wind.   There was a thin layer of new snow with a hard thick layer of ice below that kept things slippery if you spun the snow off the top.
